The Tamron 17-35mm F/2.8-4.0 Di OSD is an ultra-wide-angle zoom lens that strikes an excellent balance between image quality and compact size. The wide 17mm focal distance is ideal for capturing landscapes and architecture, while the 35mm focal distance is suitable for reportage and street photography, among other things.

The optical construction includes four LD (Low Dispersion) lens elements to minimise chromatic aberrations, which are common in ultra-wide-angle lenses. Distortion and other aberrations are corrected by two precisely positioned GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lenses. The minimum focusing distance of this lens is just 28cm across the entire zoom range. This makes it possible to blur the background when you photograph your subject up close. The 7-blade circular aperture gives you beautiful Bokeh in the background. To reduce reflections, Tamron BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) coating is used. This prevents flare and ghosting across the entire zoom range. The Autofocus system uses OSD (Optimized Silent Drive) so you can shoot as quietly as possible. You can therefore use the Autofocus with confidence in situations where silence is required. You can shoot in all weather conditions thanks to the splash-resistant housing and the moisture- and dirt-repellent Fluorine coating on the front element. Thanks to this coating, the front element is also easier to clean and less susceptible to the damaging effects of dirt, dust, moisture or fingerprints. At just 9cm long and weighing 460 grams, this lens is very small and lightweight.

The Tamron 17-35mm F/2.8-4.0 Di OSD is compatible with the optional Tamron TAP-in Console, so you can update the lens firmware and customise functions.
