A teleconverter is a compact and lightweight solution for getting your subject larger in the frame. With the Sony E-Mount 2.0x Teleconverter, you can shoot with the Sony FE 70-200mm F/2.8 GM OSS lens as if it were a lens with a range of 140-400mm, for example. The maximum aperture is reduced by approximately two f-stops. This means that with a lens with a maximum aperture of F/2.8, you can shoot at F/5.6 as the maximum aperture.
