Kodak Tri-X 320 TX - 5x7" / 50 Sheets
The Kodak Tri-X 320 is a panchromatic black-and-white negative film with ISO 320, as sheet film for large format. The film has a classic grain structure with high edge sharpness and high resolving power, and delivers beautiful tonal gradation and bright highlights.
Tri-X 320 performs best in indoor light with little stray light and with flash, which makes it suitable for portraits and studio work. The film sits on a 7 mil thick ESTAR polyester base, and you can retouch it on both the emulsion side and the base side. According to Kodak, you can underexpose by up to two stops if you have it push-processed.
You get fifty sheets of sheet film in 5x7 inch, for large format cameras such as a technical camera or field camera. You load the sheets into sheet film holders in the dark.
Develop Tri-X 320 in black-and-white chemistry, for example Kodak D-76, XTOL or HC-110, yourself or at a lab that develops black-and-white. The C-41 process for color film is not suitable. Kodak recommends storing unexposed film cool, preferably at 13 °C or below.
